La Confédération Générale des Sociétés Coopératives et Participatives (CGSCOP) supports the creation, buyout and development of worker cooperatives and social cooperatives in France, offering a wide range of services: long-term assistance, financing, training, inter-professional exchange, rapresentation vis à vis the public authorities. It represents 3.177 cooperatives and 57.000 workers of which 75% are workers members. Their aggregate turnover is around 5 billion euro.

Representing the cooperative movement in Denmark, Kooperationen aims to promote the development of the cooperative idea and business form as an alternative to private business through its activities and by fostering cooperation between cooperative organizations, companies and associations. The National Union of Worker Producers’ strengthens and develops the enterprises affiliated to the Union in the spirit of the cooperatives principles and values. It represents 202 worker cooperatives with more than 10,760 worker members throughout the country. 27 producers cooperatives employ disable people, providing jobs for 1,040 worker members with various degrees of disabilities.

Federsolidarietà is part of Confcooperative and represents and gives legal, technical, financial assistance to social cooperatives affiliated to its network. It has 6.245 affiliated cooperatives, 225.900 individual members and 228.900 workers with an annual turnover of €6.3 billion.

Cooperazione, Finanza, Impresa is an institutional investor, in form of cooperative, promoted in 1986 by three main Italian Cooperative Confederations to manage the Marcora Law, whose main objective is to provide financial and management support to worker and social cooperatives established through business transfers to employees. Since 1986 it has invested 223 million euros to support more than 380 cooperatives and save around 17.800 jobs.

The cooperative SOLEA started with three employees in 2000 in the plastics and metal component manufacturing. Based in Rybnik, in the eastern part of Czech Republic, it employs today more than 130 people; most of them (over 70%) are people with disabilities.
