Progetto Quid is a new Made in Italy brand that creates affordable, limited edition collections assembling and restyling first-quality unused materials in partnership with young emerging designers whilst exclusively employing disadvantaged women.
Quid employees are women from disadvantaged backgrounds who benefit from ongoing tailoring training from qualified teachers and carry out hand-made restyling to the highest standard under the careful supervision of the creative team.
About the Social Innovation Prize
After the success of the first edition of the Competition in 2013, the European Commission launched a second Social Innovation Competition entitled “The Job Challenge”.
The 10 finalists will attend the European Social Innovation Awards Ceremony on 20th May 2014 in Brussels where the 3 winners will be announced.
The prizes will be presented by Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for the Enterprise and Industry Directorate General which is organising the Competition.
