Ms Evelyne Pichot from the European Commission's DG Employment and Social Affairs made an updated presentation on the implementation of the SCE regulation and directive in the EU member states.
The core partners from the three countries involved (Italy, Spain and France) reviewed the situation nationally, from the double point of view of legislation and the possibilities of seeing the emergence of concrete SCE cases in industrial and service sectors where cooperatives and SALs have a critical mass in all three countries.
Other presentations, from a European perspective, were from Marco Cilento from ETUC - European Trade Union Federation (who mentioned the project proposal on worker participation in SCEs which CECOP just introduced in partnership with ETUC), Rainer Schluter as director of Cooperatives Europe, and Bruno Roelants for CECOP.
