The grant will support CECOP in strengthening industrial and service cooperatives across Europe, helping them deliver inclusive, quality jobs, foster social cohesion, and support just transitions. The project seizes the opportunity to strengthen cooperatives recognition, develop robust national ecosystems, and improve access to finance, while also deepening CECOP members’ engagement in EU policymaking and building long-term network sustainability.

Some project’s highlights :

  • European level campaigns and events aligned with the European Pillar of Social Rights and European Social Economy Action Plan (SEAP) and Council Recommendation, bringing the cooperative angle and engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Workers’ Buyout (WBO) Observatory & Academy dedicated to promoting and strengthening WBOs and across Europe.
  • National-level initiatives fostering peer learning and driving the implementation of SEAP measures.
  • Policy work powered by members engagement channeling cooperatives’ expertise, national realities, and challenges into EU policymaking.

The project links local realities with EU priorities, strengthens cooperative networks, and ensures that EU policies benefit from the practical experiences of cooperatives across Europe. Sustainability is embedded through partnerships with EU networks and alignment with long-term EU strategies.

This project builds on CECOP’s established collaboration with DG EMPL, strengthened through similar EU-supported initiatives in 2018–2021 and 2022–2025.
