The topic of the 2019 edition of the Civil Society Days is Sustainable Democracy in Europe. At the invitation of SOLIDAR, we are proud to bring the issue of democracy at work at the Civil Society Days. Our President Giuseppe Guerini will take the floor to speak about democratic governance in cooperative enterprises and Olivier Leberquier, President of the French worker cooperative SCOP-TI, will be there as well to tell the audience about the emblematic case of the tea factory close to Marseille which avoided the shut down through a worker buy-out.
Javier Doz Orrit, rapporteur for the EESC own initiative opinion "Towards a more resilient and sustainable European economy” will open the session. More speakers include Aline Hoffmann, Head of Industrial Relations Unit at the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI).
Join us on the 13th of June at 9:30 at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.
