The European Commission and the European Investment bank are organizing the event “FI Campus 2023 - Financial instruments in changing times”. 

The event will bring together practitioners and experts from managing authorities of EU shared management funds, bodies implementing financial instruments, European Commission, European Investment Bank Group and other stakeholders, including CECOP and CGSCOP, COCETA, and CFI. 

CECOP´s Secretary General, Diana Dovgan, will be speaking in the panel “Delivering Financial Instruments for Workers Buyout”. 

The panel will explore adequate financial instruments to support worker buyouts (WBOs), as well as challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned on established worker buyouts. CECOP will be one of the stakeholders bringing the cooperative perspective, which is essential given that worker buyouts lead to creation of worker cooperatives. WBOs ensure continuity of business operations and an opportunity for workers to democratically control their own enterprise, in cases where the businesses they used to work for face bankruptcy, closure, or problems with owner’s succession.  

The event will take place on the 13, 14 and 15 of March 2023 in-person in Brussels.
