Position paper
The new name « CECOP LINK » is aimed at not creating confusion with the new external newsletter, which will be titled « CECOP NEWS », with a first issue on 20 October. The recipients of this new external newsletter being different from this internal mailing system addressed to members (e.g. European institutions, the European Trade Union Confederation, European social NGOs, other cooperative and social economy organisations etc.), the type of news will also be different: e.g. new data and figures about worker cooperatives in a given country or region, new legislation, high profile meetings (e.g. with the head of state, with ministers) and other visibility initiatives, etc. Namely news that are really relevant for readers outside the CECOP network.
We are asking all CECOP member organisations to send us those types of news (not older than 4 or 5 months) up to 18 October at the latest. It is also an opportunity for the visibility of your organisations and movements.
We are sending a separate e-mail to people responsible for communication in your organisations. We intend to send this newsletter 4 times a year.
This is one step further in the implementation of point 3.0 of this year's CECOP management plan (‘establish a news system'), after the putting in place of an internal news system 5 months ago.
