From this communication follows the white paper on social services of general interest whose characteristics are enumerated for the first time. On that basis, it will lead to a huge consultation addressed to the relevant people: member states, service provider, users. A follow-up and dialogue procedure will be implemented in a biennial report. Apparently drafted in a hurry, it raises more questions than it provides answers. This communication is in keeping with the “Services” directive (Bolkestein) which has been the subject of a follow-up by CECOP. Links :
